There is a base set of hardcopy manuals available on a
no-charge basis for the Windows 3.1 client.  Ask your IBM
representative to place MES order via Program Number
5755-AS3 for Feature Number 7576.

The set includes:
  - Preparing to Install the Windows 3.1 Client (V3R1M1)
  - Client Access/400 for Windows Getting Started (SC41-3530-01)
  - Client Access/400 for Windows Users Guide (SC41-3532-00)
  - Client Access/400 for Windows PC5250 Setup (SC41-3552-00)
  - Client Access/400 for Windows TCP/IP Setup (SC41-3580-00)


SPECIAL NOTES

Insure that you review the "Preparing to Install the
Windows 3.1 Client (V3R1M1)" document as in contains
information which will be useful when installing your
Windows 3.1 client.

If you are upgrading from a previous release and intend to
use automatic install, the Windows 3.1 Client is not
Auto Installed.  You will need to run GO LICPGM to install
the Windows 3.1 Client options you intend to use.  The
following choices are available under option 1:

  - 5763XC1 Client Access/400 for Windows 3.1  (base)
  - 5763XC1 Client Access/400 - Windows 3.1 SBCS
  - 5763XC1 Client Access/400 - Windows 3.1 DBCS
  - 5763XC1 Client Access/400 - Windows 3.1 RUMBA SBCS
  - 5763XC1 Client Access/400 - Windows 3.1 RUMBA DBCS
  - 5763XC1 Client Access/400 - Windows 3.1 PC5250
  - 5763XC1 Client Access/400 - GraphicOps for Windows
  - 5763XC1 Client Access/400 - Ultimedia Facilities

Note: At a minimum you must install the base and either
  Windows 3.1 SBCS or DBCS, and any options currently
  used from 5763XC1 V3R1M0.

Graphical Access for OS/400 is not listed on the install
menus.  You will need to run RSTLICPGM, Option 8, to install
this function.

System Object Access is also not listed on the install menus.
You will need to run RSTLICPGM, Option 9, to install this
function.


LAN Support Program -- The LAN Support Program can be used
with Client Access/400 for Windows and the DOS Clients.
The LAN Support Program shipped with the Windows 3.1
client is version 1.38.  If your workstation has a version
earlier than version 1.35, please upgrade your workstation
with version 1.38.  Several customers have been known to
have problems with the older versions of the LAN Support
Program.




